Who is the Knocked Up Fit Chick?
I did my first bodybuilding competition in April, at the NPC Northern in Golden, CO. Unknown to me at the time, it was not just me competing 😉
I found out officially a couple of weeks later. Quite a surprise!
But an even bigger surprise to me has been that there is still so much conflicting information out there regarding fitness and pregnancy. Sure, there is agreement that exercising during pregnancy is wonderful for both mama and baby. But how much? How are certain exercises adjusted? Which are safe, and does it depend on trimester?
My primary background is as a runner. There are many running mamas out there, at all levels!
I am also certified to teach Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, and I am working towards certification as both a NASM Personal Trainer (with Performance Enhancement and Women’s Fitness specialties) and with Precision Nutrition.
So what is this Knocked Up Fit Chick going to do with all this?

There will be workouts, both running and lifting (and others, just for funsies!). There will be FOOD (healthy, with some very special pregnancy inspired concoctions!). There will be yoga. And there will be some downright pregnancy-hormone-fueled silliness (which sounds much kinder than snarkiness 😉 )
